Search for education ERP software in India and every result calls itself the best. The word has stopped carrying information. What follows is an attempt to make it mean something again — six tests you can apply to any campus ERP, including ours, with our own answers stated plainly so you can hold us to them.
Test 1: Does the price change when you grow?
This is the question that decides what the software costs you by year three, and it is rarely the one buyers ask first. Per-student pricing looks reasonable at 800 students and painful at 2,400. It also creates a quiet conflict of interest: your software bill rises for exactly the reason you should be celebrating.
DigiERP is a single flat annual maintenance contract. Student accounts, staff accounts and parent accounts are unlimited. Enrol another thousand students and the invoice does not move.
Test 2: Is the system you evaluated the system you get?
Tiered products are the second trap. The demo covers everything; the quote covers a base tier; the module your accounts department actually needs sits two tiers up. Nobody lies, but the number you approved and the number you eventually pay are different numbers.
There is one edition of DigiERP and it contains all 18 modules — admissions and enquiries, fee management, academics, attendance, examinations and results, certificates, library, hostel, transport, inventory, HR and payroll, accounts, timetable, alumni, reporting, and separate portals for students, parents and staff. There is no higher tier, because there is no second edition.
Test 3: What does training cost after the first month?
Campus staff turn over. A new session brings new people. If training is billed per session, the true cost of the software is not on the quotation at all — it accumulates quietly for years, and the practical result is that new staff are trained by whoever happens to be free rather than by anyone who knows the system.

Test 4: Can you leave?
The honest version of this question is: what does it cost to stop using you? Long lock-ins and chargeable data exports are how mediocre systems retain customers who would otherwise go.
DigiERP ends on one month’s notice. Your data is handed back at no charge, and it is yours throughout. We would rather keep an institution because the system works than because leaving is expensive.
Test 5: Is it one system, or several sold together?
This is the difference that shows up in daily use rather than in the demo. If admissions and fees are separate products with a bridge between them, that bridge will need maintaining, and somewhere a person will end up re-typing something. The symptom is familiar: two reports that disagree, and nobody sure which is right.
DigiERP holds one record per student. Admissions, fees, attendance, examinations and reporting all read from it. A university can run its affiliated colleges in the same installation, each college’s data kept separate, so institution-wide reporting does not begin with collecting files from every campus.
Test 6: How long before it is actually running?
An implementation measured in academic sessions is a project of its own, with its own risk of quietly never finishing. Ask for the go-live date in writing and ask what happens to your existing records.
